 If you have completed six (6) months of your principal course, you may change your course (given that you do not have a signed agreement with your education provider preventing you from doing so).

If you change to a new course that is longer than what you originally enrolled in, you will need to apply for a new student visa before your existing visa expires.

Bus, Train, and light rails are common modes of public transportation in Australia. The use ‘transportation cards’ on public transport is common – you will need to top this up with funds to use it. Alternatively, in some states, you can use your visa/master card to ‘tap on and tap off’ the public transport.   

Having a personal vehicle requires you to ensure you have a local Australia drivers' licence. Ensure with the local authorities for processes to obtain one.
